Turn-key project application and integration in BR223 and BR167 for China
Context and Challenge

Starting with engine assembly, all activities were carried out by Akkodis. The basic conditions for combustion and emissions had to be adapted to the modified engine with a lower crank stroke. The OBD requirements had to be met and the drivability had to be applied identically to the basic variant with the M256 DE30 engine.

The engine mechanics were validated in the course of test bench endurance tests, and engines from the vehicle endurance test were also analyzed for approval.

The transmission application has been adapted in detail to the modified engine.

On the engine test bench and the emission roller, the coordination of basic combustion and emission could be found in order to meet the requirements for approval in China

The coordination of torque shaping and comfort application on the transmission control unit created a positive driving impression and made the advantage of the concept with electric auxiliary compressor clear.
